Jag One is a three-piece indie/alt/emo rock band based out of Jackson, NJ. Composed of brothers Chris on lead vocals & guitar and Phil on drums with longtime friend Tyler on bass and the occasional trumpet/flugelhorn, Jag One brings their own unique sound to the New Jersey local scene mixing influences such as Radiohead, Slint, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

Brothers Chris & Phil met Tyler at Jackson Memorial High School where all members of the band grew up, all being members of the high school band throughout their school careers. Chris & Tyler quickly began jamming for fun in Tyler’s basement, and once that fun became the first creations of Jag One’s songwriting, Chris & Tyler added Phil on drums. Once Phil joined, Jag One began writing their debut EP “Chasing Nothing,” which its leading single “Microburst” went on to be played at Montclair State University’s critically acclaimed rock radio station, WMSC, just a short time after its release. WMSC stated about Jag One, “great songwriting & sound.”

The band in its still new state of sharing original music has already played legendary local New Jersey venues such as The Brighton Bar in Long Branch, NJ, as well Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ. They are hard at work at mastering the final product of their upcoming EP “That Night,” which is a concept album depicting the events of a tragic evening.
