With a voice as powerful as it is sultry and sweet, singer/songwriter Christine Sweeney deftly handles poppy and playful without sacrificing genuine emotion to create her version of indie blues pop. Her sometimes gritty, sometimes sugary vocals soar over a rhythmic guitar to build songs that are heavily focused on the feel of the lyrics, but also illustrate that she’s no stranger to complexities in harmony.

DJ Joltin Joe Pszonek described her as “Streetwise with a tender heart, Christine is on my list of up and coming talents!” She was an honorable mention as a performer at the Grassy Hill Emerging Artists Stage competition at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival in 2017.

Christine writes about love and the human condition. Forever the optimist, she draws from her own experience of heartache but manages to craft music that is hopeful in tone and upbeat. Coyote, the first single off the her upcoming EP is a bare bones recording about love and the human condition. Listen here on Spotify.

Christine hails from New York and is touring throughout 2019. For full tour details (always updating) visit www.christinesweeney.com and sign up on the email list.
